Construction Details

The undersigned, upon oath, states that the above information is true and correct, understands that the Permit issued is only for construction as stated and that occupancy of the structure is not permissible until all requirements are met and a Certificate of Occupancy has been issued by the City. This permit is granted on the express condition that the said construction shall, in all respects, conform to the ordinances of this jurisdiction including the zoning ordinance, regulating the construction and use of buildings, and may be revoked at any time upon violation of any provisions of said ordinances. A complete set of approved plans must be furnished to the City on all non-residential projects. Construction will begin no later than six months from the issued date of the permit. All required Contractor State Licensures, Sub-Contractor Affidavits, and Business Licenses must be submitted with the completed application. If any information is found to be false or misrepresented, the permit will be deemed invalid. I agree to indemnify and hold the city harmless from all damages, demands or expenses of every character which may in any manner be caused by construction and/or the structure.

If you answer YES to any of the following questions, a DeKalb County Watershed Management Review IS required:

1. Will the project require a Land Disturbance Permit (LDP)?
If yes, you may skip the rest of the questions. You must get approval from DeKalb Watershed.

2. Will a new home be constructed on an undeveloped lot?
If yes, you may skip the rest of the questions. You must get approval from DeKalb Watershed.

3. Are you subdividing a lot?
If yes, you may skip the rest of the questions. You must get approval from DeKalb Watershed.

4. Are you increasing the structure's footprint? (For this question ONLY, the applicant must email plans to Yola Lewis (ylewis@dekalbcountyga.gov) to determine if a review is necessary. After the DeKalb County Department of Watershed Management renders a decision, the applicant must submit a PDF of the results to the City of Dunwoody for record keeping purposes and / or additional instructions.

5. Are you adding a food service establishment?
If yes, you may skip the rest of the questions. You must get approval from DeKalb Watershed.

6. Are you changing the existing occupancy classification / use?
If yes, you must get approval from DeKalb Watershed.
